The wait is almost over! Hundreds of submissions have once again poured in for the 2025 Casambi Product of the Year Award – a celebration of creativity, design, and technological innovation within the Casambi ecosystem.
Our expert panel of judges is now reviewing entries that demonstrate how Casambi’s lighting control can transform lighting, making it smarter, more sustainable, and endlessly flexible. From rethinking light placement to redefining control, this year’s shortlist showcases products that push the boundaries of what’s possible with Casambi.
Here are the five finalists competing for the coveted title:

Casambi Controlled by Ailis Srl
Ailis’ Casambi Controlled (CSB-4DIM-CV) brings together wireless freedom, precision dimming, and refined Italian design. The luminaire’s magnetic stainless-steel casing allows completely free installation – the unit can be placed anywhere without technical constraints and attaches securely without screws or brackets. Paired with the rechargeable MOTORE power unit, it creates a truly portable smart lighting system.
Used in temporary art exhibitions in Bassano del Grappa, this four-channel PWM dimmer allows Casambi control in locations where wiring isn’t possible — preserving historical architecture while achieving flawless illumination.

CBU-1032-70-TRAC by Lightworks Sp. z o.o.
The CBU-1032-70-TRAC is a track-mountable Salvador 1032 controller that bridges wired DALI and wireless Casambi networks. The Salvador 1000 Gateway supports up to 32 DALI addresses. Once installed, DALI luminaires appear directly in the Casambi app for easy addressing, programming, and control – no special DALI software needed.
The controller supports DALI D4i, DT6, and DT8, making integration of wired and wireless lighting effortless and intuitive.
Why it stands out: It brings the full Salvador experience to track-mounted lighting solutions – smart, seamless, and scalable.

Choir by ADesignStudio
Choir combines refined aesthetics with advanced wireless intelligence. Inside its precisely engineered housing, a Casambi chip with an integrated antenna is discreetly mounted to maintain optimal wireless performance. The internal layout has been carefully designed to ensure clean radio frequency paths, avoiding interference that could affect signal strength or network stability. The result is seamless, reliable wireless control that doesn’t compromise the luminaire’s form or performance.
Sustainability is central to Choir’s design. Each fitting is made for longevity and circularity, constructed from materials that can be easily deconstructed for responsible disposal. Its modular architecture, with separable LED, Casambi chip, and main board, allows components to be unscrewed, replaced, or upgraded individually. This approach minimizes electronic waste and extends the product’s lifespan.

PIR+ by Holders Technology
PIR+ is an advanced presence detector designed to ensure accurate, reliable occupancy-based lighting control. Unlike standard PIR sensors that rely solely on motion detection, PIR+ continuously monitors thermal variations to maintain illumination while occupants remain in the space, even when stationary. Lights switch off automatically once the area is vacated, optimizing both user comfort and energy efficiency.
PIR+ is equipped with Zonal Control, low-level night lighting, scene activation, and anonymous thermal data collection for people counting, heat mapping, and occupancy analytics. All functions are fully GDPR-compliant, as the sensor captures only thermal data without the use of cameras.

RUNNING-LIGHT-CASAMBI is a cutting-edge SPI controller that transforms addressable LED strips into a dynamic canvas of light. It enables pixel-perfect control of RGB, RGBW, and Tunable White LEDs, empowering designers and users to create immersive atmospheres and complex lighting effects.
Fully integrated into the Casambi ecosystem, the controller uses Bluetooth Low Energy for seamless wireless control. Up to nine dynamic effects — including rainbow flows, fire, plasma, and wave animations — can be customized in speed, direction, color, and transitions. Casambi scenes allow instant switching between effects, providing layered lighting experiences that adapt to mood, activity, or storytelling needs.
